WHAT IS THE COST OF HOMECARE?

Professional Home Nursing's Health Care Team has an excellent understanding of all eligibility requirements and can determine if an individual qualifies.  We will assess your needs for other community resources and make referrals for additional assistance when appropriate.  We will also work with your physician to determine your eligibility for skilled homecare.  Once an assessment has been made, payment for most services are covered by a variety of funding sources:

Medicare helps pay for some skilled health care in your home to treat an illness or injury.  If you meet all four of the following guidelines, Medicare may pay for your home health visits:

1.  It is difficult for you to leave your home (homebound);

2.  Your doctor says you need home health care and sets up a home health plan for you; and

3.  The home health agency caring for you participates in Medicare.

If you think you need home care, ask your doctor to refer you to a Medicare participating home health agency, such as Professional Home Nursing.  The home health agency will review your case and then tell you if Medicare will pay for your care.
